Welcome to Crate Escapes Delaware, owned and operated by Delaware natives Joella and Mark Bower. Our story is rooted in a deep love for animals and a commitment to exceptional pet care.

Mark Bower: An Army veteran, Mark first discovered his passion for working with K-9s while serving as a Military Police officer in Germany and Kansas. After his military service, he embarked on a long and distinguished career with the Department of Corrections. During his tenure, Mark transitioned into a role as a K-9 Handler, eventually rising to the position of Trainer. For the past 8 years, he has been responsible for training both K-9 handlers and their dogs. Mark also ran his own K-9 training company, earning the nickname "The Dog Whisperer" from clients who were astounded by his ability to teach dogs desirable behaviors quickly and effectively. After 28 years of service, Mark is now retiring from the Department of Corrections to fully dedicate his time to Crate Escapes Delaware.

Joella Bower: Joella brings a wealth of experience from diverse fields including education, counseling, corrections, and the non-profit sector. A former educator and counselor turned business coach and AI consultant, she has a knack for all things tech. Joella's entrepreneurial spirit has led her to successfully launch her own business, where she helps others harness the power of technology and AI to grow and thrive. Now, she partners with her husband of 33 years, combining his exceptional skills in animal care with her expertise in business and technology. Together, Joella and Mark are launching Central Delaware's premier pet care business, Crate Escapes Delaware LLC. Our mission is to provide unparalleled care and training for your beloved pets, ensuring they are happy, healthy, and well-cared for.
